I love my family.

I have the greatest family in the world. I know everyone says that, but I think that is what is so great. We're all different, and we were all put into the families that are the best for us.

Anyway, a few days ago, one of my cousins, who was going to college in Oregon, came back to Utah. We had been talking about going to Lagoon for a while, and we decided to make it happen.

Here's our run-down of the day:

  • Going to Costco and getting a little lost trying to find the discount passes.
  • Finally getting to Lagoon, but realizing we were hungry and, not wanting to pay 9.00 for snacky-snacks, driving to the nearest Chevron for 1.00 muffins.
  • Realizing we can't take bags or backpacks on rides anymore, so begrudgingly renting a locker for 5.00.
  • Realizing we can't have single riders on the Spider, so one person sitting out while the others ride.
  • Making fools of ourselves filming our music video... multiple times.
  • Filming ourselves on multiple rides (this was so much fun to do bytheway).
  • Breaking the Rock-o-Planes record with spinning around 360 times in one ride (on my cousin's part, anyway - Heidi and I got about 6).
  • Feeling very uncomfortable with the men's costumes in the singing show.
  • Getting scared out of our wits on Dracula's Castle because of a crazy (yet attractive) Lagoon worker.
  • Trying our hardest to avoid getting wet during Rattlesnake Rapids. We did anything short of actually jumping out of the boat.
  • Getting spit on. Ugh.
  • Trying to guess Lagoon worker's names and staring awkwardly at their nametags on their chests when getting on the ride.
  • Laughing our heads off in line because that's what cousins do. :)
  • Sneaking up to our G-ma's house at 10:30 at night, giggling like maniacs. Then talking and laughing with her until midnight.
I'd say it was a day well spent.
