On My Mind

Here is what has been on my mind lately:

New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! Harry Potter! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! What is Pottermore? New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! Daniel Radcliffe! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City! New York City!

Yes, I typed each of those out. I'm waiting for my clothes to dry, what else am I supposed to do?

But seriously, what is Pottermore? If it's a dumb social networking site, then Imma be mad.

BCF!

I love my family.

I have the greatest family in the world. I know everyone says that, but I think that is what is so great. We're all different, and we were all put into the families that are the best for us.

Anyway, a few days ago, one of my cousins, who was going to college in Oregon, came back to Utah. We had been talking about going to Lagoon for a while, and we decided to make it happen.

Here's our run-down of the day:

  • Going to Costco and getting a little lost trying to find the discount passes.
  • Finally getting to Lagoon, but realizing we were hungry and, not wanting to pay 9.00 for snacky-snacks, driving to the nearest Chevron for 1.00 muffins.
  • Realizing we can't take bags or backpacks on rides anymore, so begrudgingly renting a locker for 5.00.
  • Realizing we can't have single riders on the Spider, so one person sitting out while the others ride.
  • Making fools of ourselves filming our music video... multiple times.
  • Filming ourselves on multiple rides (this was so much fun to do bytheway).
  • Breaking the Rock-o-Planes record with spinning around 360 times in one ride (on my cousin's part, anyway - Heidi and I got about 6).
  • Feeling very uncomfortable with the men's costumes in the singing show.
  • Getting scared out of our wits on Dracula's Castle because of a crazy (yet attractive) Lagoon worker.
  • Trying our hardest to avoid getting wet during Rattlesnake Rapids. We did anything short of actually jumping out of the boat.
  • Getting spit on. Ugh.
  • Trying to guess Lagoon worker's names and staring awkwardly at their nametags on their chests when getting on the ride.
  • Laughing our heads off in line because that's what cousins do. :)
  • Sneaking up to our G-ma's house at 10:30 at night, giggling like maniacs. Then talking and laughing with her until midnight.
I'd say it was a day well spent.

Summer Bucket List

With Summer only 5 school days away, I've decided to make a summer bucket list. So here it is.

  • Go to New York!

  • Moab camping trip
  • Eat lots of snowcones

  • Disneyland/Little Mermaid Ride/Updated Star Tours and Splash Mountain
  • Tube down the Provo River
  • Harry Potter 7 Part 2 Midnight Premier! (What will I do with no more Harry Potter to look forward to?)

  • Salt Lake farmer's market
  • Make a knock-your-socks-off music video
  • Build an awesome sandcastle

Okay, mine probably won't look that cool. It will look more like this:But still cool, nonetheless
  • Read, Read, Read, Read, READ! (And get tan while I'm doing it.) :)
In other news, I took the day off of school today. I had one more personal day, and with the last day of school being exactly one week from today, (AAAA! I can't believe it's actually here!) I thought I should use it. Let me tell you, it's been so nice waking up when I want to and staying in bed and reading instead of needing to get up and get ready in the wee hours of the morning.

In short, I can only describe my feelings for summer by using the well-known lyrics of the Scrawley's (an awesome cousin band... you can check them out here):
"Ooh Summmeeeer, Ooh Summmeeer, Ooh Summmeeer is soo much fuuuun."
