Da Daa Da Da Daa Da Daaa Daaa

Today, I would like to wish a very happy birthday to one of my favorite boys in the entire world.

I met him when I was in fifth grade, on Christmas Day in fact, and we've been close ever since.

I remember when I first met him, I was a little unsure about it, but in less than 2 minutes, I knew we were going to be together forever.

Over these past ten years, we have grown closer and closer and closer. We've laughed together and cried together. I've been there through all of his struggles, and he has supported me through mine.

I haven't seen him in a while, but we do have a date on November 19th that I've been looking forward to for a very long time.

Now, let's see if I can find a good picture of us together...

Ah, there we go.

Harry, happy 30th.
I love you, man.

Let's Get Physical

I have recently decided that I need to be more healthy. I have been lazier than normal this summer, and I have now decided that I need to take better care of myself (and maybe lose a few pounds while I'm at it.)

Now, I don't believe in totally getting rid of soda and candy out of my diet. I mean, if I am going to make it through a hard day, I'm not going to be doing it without a Diet Coke and some M&Ms. So I'm taking small steps. I am going to make one healthy goal, and then add a new healthy goal each week, and eventually I will be the healthiest person on the planet.

Okay, not really.

And every day that I complete my goals, I am going to reward myself. My current reward is a Diet Coke, but that's not very healthy so I may have to rethink this.

My goal this week is to exercise for 30 minutes 5 days a week. I am doing things like running, biking, pilates, and hiking. If I do the same thing each day I end up getting bored in about 3 weeks and quitting, so variety is the key, my friends.

Well, wish me luck. I'm gonna need it.

I Went to the Doctor and the Doctor Said...

Last Monday I had an appointment at the doctor to see what they were going to do to fix my brain.

So I printed off a million pages of paperwork and spent about an hour filling them out.

I went to the doctor, and had to wait in the waiting room for about 30 or 40 minutes.

Then I got to see the doctor. (Which actually wasn't even really the doctor. He was the nurse practitioner. The real doctor was out of town.)

He asked me all of these questions that I already filled out 6 times on the paperwork, then told me he thought it would be best not to do anything, but he wants to check with the doctor to make sure that is the best decision.

Thank you doctor's office for making me spend time and money on that decision.

(By the way, he called back. I'm going to get an MRI the last week of July, just to make sure things are looking okay. That's the brain update for now.)

These are a Few of My Favorite Things

Here are the things I'm loving right now:

1) Harry Potter 7.

AAAAAA!!!! I can't even think about it without getting butterflies in my stomach and tears in my eyes. I mean, look at this poster:

How can that not give you chills?
I mean, Hogwarts is on fire.

Only 135 more days.

2) Reading

This summer I have been able to catch up on A LOT of reading. Basically everything I wanted to read the last three years of college, and never had time for.
Plus, I just found out the book I've been waiting for at the library has just come in. I don't even know why I'm writing this blog and not at the library devouring it.

3) Arrested Development

I've been watching it almost every night before I go to bed, and this is one of the few TV shows that makes me laugh out loud. Hard.

Seriously, Gob is one of my favorite characters of all time.
4) Family Time

With this weekend being Independence Day weekend, I was lucky enough to spend time with both the Case and the Scott families. I had so much fun this weekend, and I really am blessed with such great family.

One of my favorite things I did this weekend was go through pictures from my Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was so much fun to go through all of these old pictures and just laugh with my mom and aunts.

I just love that I can have a good time and laugh my head off with my family whether we're going to the farmer's market, laying on a blanket playing Don't Eat Pete, going swimming in my aunt's pool, eating gigantic cupcakes, or just sitting around coming up with clues for my mom's Beehive activity.

5) The 3rd Glee soundtrack and "Battlefield" by Jordin Sparks

I got a free iTunes gift card, and these are what I bought. I love both of them with all my heart.

I mean, the part where Jordin sings,
"You better go and get your armor."
Aaa, chills.

Anyway, I'm going to go to the library and get me some books.

Happy reading. :)
